In this article we will discuss about the structure of Garden Slug (Vaginula) with the help of a diagram.
1. It is commonly called garden slug and is found in lawns and gardens hidden under fallen leaves and in damp dark areas.
2. The body is elongated, dorsal surface is convex and ventral flat.
3. Shell in adult and body organs exhibit detorsion.
4. The head region bears 4 retractile tentacles.
5. The second pair of tentacles bears eyes at the tip.
6. At the ventral surface a furrow runs along the mid ventral line.
7. These animals are hermaphrodite. The male genital aperture is situated at the base of right second tentacle.
