Large and with extra lobe, called the tragus. Leaf- like auricular appendages are present.

6. Tail:

When present is enclosed in the inter-femoral.

7. Claw in forelimb:

Only the first digit is with a claw

8. Molars:

Have sharp cusps and transvers

9. Examples:

Vespertilio, Rhinolophus and Desmodus, Pipistrellus.
